Microcement (also known as micro-concrete) is a polymer-modified cementitious coating applied at just 2mm to 3mm thickness. It bonds tenaciously to almost any sound substrate—including plasterboard, concrete, screeds, timber, and existing tiles—making it perfect for wet rooms, bathrooms, floors, stairs, and kitchen splashbacks.
Yes. When sealed with high-performance polyurethane sealers, microcement forms an impenetrable waterproof barrier. Because it is completely seamless without grout lines, there are no joints for water, dirt, or black mould to penetrate.
Yes, in many cases! As long as existing tiles are firmly bonded, we can degrease, prime with epoxy grid primer, and apply microcement directly over the tiles, saving the expense, mess, and disruption of hacking off old tiles.
Very durable. High-grade microcement has exceptional compressive strength and abrasion resistance comparable to hardwood or polished concrete. It is suitable for domestic high-traffic zones and commercial retail spaces, and is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems.
